Premises and services

We have a range of office accommodation, suitable for individuals and for small businesses of all kinds, ranging from rooms of 100 sq ft to suites of 1,000 sq ft, let individually or in groups.

Offices are unfurnished but fees are all-inclusive, covering, in particular, the costs of heating, lighting, council tax, water rates, cleaning, gardening, and premises maintenance. References are required. Occupancy terms are flexible, but are normally on 3 months notice, payable monthly in advance, with a three month deposit. In addition there is a small annual Associateship fee (£15), which is used to fund some of the research activities of the Institute.

These are good quality offices in an excellent location, and fee rates are attractive. Hence they are usually in great demand, and you may have to go onto the waiting list. To apply, or just to find out what the current position is, contact the premises management team:

OTHER SERVICES

Meeting room. Resident Associates have use of a shared meeting room. No charge is normally made for this, but usage is at management discretion, and heavy or prolonged usage may be subject to discussion.

The meeting room is also occasionally used by non-resident associates and others. This is subject to agreement with the management, who will wish to avoid excessive inconvenience to residents. A commercial fee will generally be charged, but this may be waived for deserving causes.

Secure storage. The Institute has some excellent secure storage facilities which may be rented on a per-cabinet basis.

Photocopying. Residents have access to a shared photocopier. Usage is charged on a per copy basis.

Other office services. No other office services are usually provided. Residents are generally expected to be administratively self-sufficient. However, ad hoc support can be arranged if required, for an appropriate price.
